No I totally agree. I just love to see low mileage classics like that. Don't much care about the second half of the story. There was a guy here in town with a 69 that his son bought before he went to Vietnam. Got killed in Nam and his dad pulled his car in the garage and that's where it stayed. People tried to buy that car ever since I can remember, but he wouldn't sell. Then one day some guy with deep pockets came to town and left with it on a trailer. Super sad story.

There were 2 cars here in town with the same story. The son buys the car, goes to Vietnam, gets killed and parents keep the car.
One was a 1969 Z/28 that was parked in the front yard. It was blue with white stripes. It sat there for at least 30 years. Finally, it was gone one day when I drove by.
The other was a 1967 Chevelle SS. It sat backed in a driveway, under a carport, hidden by one side of the house. The owners started piling junk and boxes on the hood and in front of it so it couldn't be seen from the road. It too was gone one day when I drove by.
It happened more than you realize all over the US. It is a sad reminder of the 60's.
