Hi everyone, I have a 1976 C20 2wd suburban. Completely stock drivetrain. Would really like to do a 5-7 drop, but don't want to notch the frame. As far as I know this can be done if your not planning on hauling a heavy load. Problem is I want to haul my 31ft 1968 Holiday camper. Camper weight is around 5 thousand pounds. So what should be done about the axle hitting the frame under a load? Helper bags maybe? Would a torsion bar setup on the camper tongue take enough weight off the burb? Any advise and pictures of dropped suburban's appreciated.

You can definitely lower and still retain towing capacity
