I'm on the hunt for a cheap but usable camper. It doesn't need to be any certain size or be cosmetically pretty, it just needs to be free of rot. Oh, it also needs to be a bumper pull. Something in central Ohio or central/southeast Iowa would be ideal as well. I haven't had much luck finding anything on CL and the wife hasn't found much on Facebook.

Thanks, but I'm in the market for something much cheaper, and subsequently older. I guess I should have said "very cheap" lol.

I think you picked the wrong time of year to look for a cheap camper. In Michigan the hunters snap up everything around not matter how ****** it is.

@Big Chip makes a good point. Same thing happens around here. Once it starts getting a little later in the year they start snapping up everything they can find. Stick them in the woods, use them 1 or 2 years then leave them.

Narrow it down some and I'll keep an eye out.

Ok so 5th wheels are out. Any particular size? Pop ups? Hard shells? Price range you're looking for it to be less than...remember they doubled the tolls in WV.

Something like this is along the lines of what I'm looking for. My recent CL searches have not turned that one up. Earlier today, my wife actually found the 27ft twin to that one. It's even cheaper, but has water damage in the roof.
I used search tempest and just looked in Ohio region and set the upper limit on price at $3000. I didn’t spend much time at it but at least there’s hope for you.

I realize it's the wrong time of year for it too. But now is the time to look in my situation, lol. I’ve wanted another camper for some time now. I've got a '67 Coachmen that needs a lot of work to be usable and I've got other projects that are more pressing, so it's not getting fixed up anytime soon. My sister in law wants to come stay the month of November with us. We don't have the room for her in the house, she doesn't want to stay with family in Circleville so she has been bugging us about letting her stay in my camper. It took a while to convince her and my wife that my camper should not be slept in as it is. Well now my wife wants to get a camper for the specific purpose of having a 'guest house' for my sister in law to stay in.

I must admit that the whole idea seems kinda 'hillbilly', for lack of a better term. But whatever, it's got my wife looking for another camper which is what I wanted anyway. We are who we are, lol.

I hate to derail anyone's plans or what ever but if it's not going to get a lot of use have you considered a cargo trailer.I thought that was stupid too. The first time the idea was presented, but my cousin grabbed a 16 ft cargo trailer from budget, threw a hide a bed some tables chairs etc in it we camped 3 days and took it back. I liked it so much I bought 1 now I can camp in it or haul 4 wheelers etc. or use it for storage. That ones not mine.Mines full of tools and roofing materials right now but throw camp furniture a hide a bed camp stove etc. A couple of 4 wheelers get where I'm going set up my living room set up my outside area and play with my toys and still sleep comfortable. Made a shower out of a concrete sprayer(like a garden sprayer but black and bigger hose) I put a kitchen sink sprayer on the hose I can shower with it or wash dishes.

A 5th wheel could work, but then I'd need to get a gooseneck adapter and I could only pull it with one of my trucks. It would also have to be located in central OH. If in IA or even VA, it has to be bumper pull so it could be toted home behind a company truck.
