I had bought this truck sight unseen from a buddy who told me the truck had no rust on it. It was hard to believe and I fully expected to be replacing cab corners and rockers at a minimum. The only pics I had were of it sitting in the elements with weeds growing around it and the snow settling in.
It turns out this old girl is in amazing condition.
The original paint was oxidized and faded quite a bit. I ended up washing, clay barring, polishing, glazing and finally waxing the paint. It came out pretty darn good. Everything is factory on this old girl.
I've ordered a 6/8 lowering kit from McGaughy's, Eagle 225 wheels(20x10, 20x8.5) and Toyo Proxes rubber. I've also ordered short box side panels and will shorten the truck up in the future. Maybe next winter as I'm still planning on a powertrain upgrade this winter.
This old girl won't be seeing any more snow.
