My 87 Chevy with 9 inches of lift keeps breaking the rubber washers in the steering column, I was told there was one out of a jeep??? Maybe, that would swap right over into it and would have metal u joints instead of the rubber washer. Any advice on how you guys solved this issue? Thanks, just ready to be able to drive it again without worring about losing all steering and wrecking

Just out of curiosity here, by "washers" are we talking about the flex coupler? If so, how does the jeep shaft isolate the column from steering box noise?
