The online suppliers are listing 2 different sizes of rear brake shoes
for my ‘84 C1500(C10). 2” and 2 3/4” … without pulling the wheel and drum,
Is there a way to be sure which size to order? - maybe someone has recently serviced their brakes and knows what size I need. Thanks. All original set up / axles and brakes

My '87 has 2", but I'd check the RPO tag on the glove box door for brake option. Search from that. The brakes are listed JB5, JB8...etc, good luck!!

Thanks I’ll look for it
The only code I have for Brakes is 1J50 Power Brakes.
I’ll just pull the drum to be sure, & drive another car to Napa :)

Here's the brake chart (for an '85, since that is what I already had scanned).

Need to know your GVW rating and then we call tell for sure (although 90% of the production volume was JB5, which would be column #16).

When I was trying to figure out the same thing on my '83 GMC Sierra Classic 2WD..........
It seems the 2" are for 2wd & wider shoes were for the 3/4 ton or HD.
