Where's the fun in that?I would not recommend buying one designed for bucket seats, then arguing that it should fit yours simply because it was available in those years.
Fwiw, I had one of these in the last truck I had, good quality, comes with a strap to secure it to the seat. Not cheap though. I got the one I had through amazon.I agree. I am trying to select one of the many that sit on the seat and is secured with either a strap or seat belt.

I had the standard cruiser console. The cup holders are pretty much super sized. Iirc, They fit the large Arby's cups about perfect. A 12 or 20 oz bottle has a lot of room left around it.CSFJ,
