Anyone just buy their own bolts to mount the bed to the frame? I'm possibly getting a stepside bed this weekend and need to get some bolts For it asap rathr than ordering them and waiting. Anyone know the sizes etc? I'm most likely going to have to cut the heads off the ones I have currently, oh and how many do the stepside beds use to hold it down?

8 bolts. I got mine from the local hardware store. I don't remember the length of them, but I got them all the same length. Two of the original bolts are very long to make access easier, but the hardware store didn't offer them that long. You just have to tighten them with a wrench, no big deal.

I personally would only buy the kit if I wanted stainless bolts. Which I do, but it hasn't been in the budget yet, lol.
