You want Edelbrock #2104 non egr spread bore. Strangely I don't see a square bore intake for 87-95 heads from Edelbrock but the 2104 will accept a square or spread bore carb anyways.

In Kansas City Missouri I do not believe we have smog testing for inspections. The only place in Missouri that does smog is St. Louis and surrounding counties.

Old77 correct me if I'm wrong.

Fpr is fuel pressure regulator.

That's correct. No smog testing here. Where do you normally get your stuff inspected at? I've had mine done at Diamond Muffler before and they do a pretty decent job

Do they do a visual inspection for emissions stuff though? Diamond muffler seems okay but they told me I can't run true duals on my '87 halfton.

I normally go to Brian and Brian at Summit South auto repair.

They might. I'm not 100% sure about that  If you've had good luck at Summit South the by all means go there :) I've never heard of that shop.

They're down the road between the QT on 291 and LMH motors. Down a ways by where the old Napa store used to be

Oh ok :waytogo: I know exactly where that's at.

I'm not sure whereabouts you work but another place I go to that has been really good and are very knowledgeable is a place in downtown off Broadway Blvd called KC Autoworx. Whenever I have an issue that requires a specialty tool I don't have or something is urgent and I don't have time to tackle it myself I use them because there are close to my work and a pure car guys. They have some really nice cars themselves and they treat your ride like their own so you don't have to worry about it. I know that's a big deal for me cuz I've had some shops just have no clue and you get your car or truck back filthy or not fixed or whatever the case might be.

When I took my 87 to get inspected they didn't check for smog at all. The just checked the normal lights, horn, one corner for brake wear and what not but that's it. LOL Didn't even put it on a hoist

Performer Intake Manifold

4-bbl Spread Bore Carb Flange (non-EGR)
Idle-5500 RPM Range
Do you mean this?

I gotcha. Another one that is up north if you ever need it is Grisham Auto Repair. It's up near North KC Hospital.

Anyway, just options for you as you're out and about around town.

I wonder why Diamond wouldn't put duals on your '87. They put them on my '77 no problem so I wonder what it is about whatever regulations Missouri has where they said they wouldn't/couldn't do it.

Thanks man. Not sure it was when I bought the truck that I called and asked. They asked if it was a 3/4 or 1/2 T and said they could on a 3/4 just not 1/2. Maybe because there isn't enough clearance on one of the sides for the exhaust to run? I called back again a couple of weeks ago asking and the guy said yes or no I can't recall but it would be about $750 for an exhaust job. Something to do with the cats I bet.

$750?? Holy smokes! And I was planning on going up there for some exhaust work on my '87 sometime soon. If they tell me 750 I may never return. That's stupid

Agreed. But it included headers and a nice mellow muffler. Hahaha I'm going with DYI exhaust and clamping it together for now.

Oh I gotcha. For now I'm keeping my manifolds but will be needing cats on back. I'm looking to go to a true dual setup. I'll definitely still get a quote from them and see what they say. I just want a more free flowing system and a little more rumble rather than this restrictive OE system.
