I'm looking for some general info on them. Ive got one missing on the drivers side and ill be hitting the yards on thursday for a replacement.

Ditto !!! I don't get it either.

Are you maybe talking about an overload leaf spring bracket? Those aren't factory if you have them. Not that I'm aware of anyway. :shrug:

The heavier rated trucks often had a rear overload spring that would contact brackets that were riveted to the frame. GM used them on our trucks just like other models.

I have only seen the factory ones on 1 tons and he said he had a 3/4 ton. highdesertranger

Yeah those craig. I have 3 on my 3/4. Missing one. Ill get pics soon. My truck came with heavy duty springs from the factory.

those appear to be aftermarket they don't look at all like my factory ones and the one that is missing doesn't even have the holes in the frame for a factory. also mine are 2 piece the bump stop piece and a reinforcing bracket that mounts under the frame and the bump stop mounts to the frame and the bracket. highdesertranger

correction I just looked and there is only the bump stops no other bracket and the stops mount into the fame with 4 rivets. highdesertranger

Yeah those are aftermarket. Although they function the same as the factory setup, so a factory bracket could be used. Might take some hole drillin'.
