Hello Everyone,

My truck is a ‘77 C10 with a 2/4 drop.
This is the wheel and tire combo I’m thinking of using.
285/60/18 rear with 18x9.5
245/60/18 front with 18x8

Does anyone think there’s an issue with that height of tire?

Or, should I go-

295 or 285/40 or 45/18 rears
And
245/40/18 fronts

Thoughts??

My thoughts are you can cut cardboard or plywood disc's of the appropriate diameter and bolt thembto your truck. Now break out the tape measure and do some math. Example you have a 10" wide tire and back spacing is going to put 5 inches of tire on each side of the wheel hub, make sure you have 6 inches behind your disc everywhere, turn the wheels full lock left and check again, turn right and check again.

Those are vastly different sizes, here's a good link I play with all the time to figure out tire size:

What are the plans for the truck? Are you for sure going to stick to 2/4 or do you think you may want to go lower later on? If you go too big on the tire size, it may clear now but it won't at 4/6 or 5/8.

I just plan to tool around and smoke some rubber.

I decided on:
295/45/18 rear on 18x9.5
245/40/18 front on 18x8

I’ll post some pics when it’s together.
