Was used in the L-82 corvette, I am wondering how it compares to the 929 Chevy cam or the Summit 1102.
Don't want anything too radical, but a little more performance than a stock cam might be the trick in the GMC 2500 2wd truck for light duty hauling and daily driving.

I have not run one personally.Friends of mine ran them back in the day, they weren't near enough for a hot street car. I did look at the numbers, peak everything is about 1000 rpm higher than with the 929, peak torque 4500 peak horsepower 5500 rpm but definitely more power. If you plan on turning 5500 rpm seldom or never it's too much cam. Remember, more duration moves the power band up so things you could of got by with in 2nd now you gotta wind out in first etc.gas mileage is gonna take a hit, but when I was all about going fast I'd have said not enough cam.On last thought while I'm typing, this cam would be awesome with some crane variable duration lifters( like Rhodes without the annoying clicking).daily it would be about like the 929 but at higher rpm it would be bigger, a win win.

L79 was 350/327 good hot rod cam with a 4speed but it wouldn't be my first choice for a D.D. truck with an auto.

Jibber jabber, jibber jabber, jibber jabber. Ahh !!! not quite as satisfying.

This sounds like the 300hp/327 cam. If so, I run one in my truck. Damn thing runs great. It works really well with vortec heads. I would not hesitate to buy one, it's a great cam that has a nice powerband

I stand corrected. I used the 3896929 cam kit. But still, I have not been disappointed with it.

https://www.gmsquarebody.com/posts/232862/ I hadn't run it at this point, that came a little while later, but this has the specs on it, although you probably have already read them...lol...
