So my bumper is really in nice shape except where the PO brushed up against something and pushed the left side in a bit. Chrome is too nice to redo, so wanted to find a way to fix it. Found this video -

Probably old news to you guys but I had never seen one - but no idea why this isn't common as its so obvious. Most places have it for $180-250ish shipped.....found a place online $113.45 to my door. For that much (and facing $800 for a repair/replate), I can give this a shot.

Very hard to tell because of the dented/damaged fender, but using a jig from the outer fender well, its right on equal distance to the right side. This took all of maybe 10-15 minutes, including opening the box and setting it up. I'm happy as a pig in sht with it.

And of course....the icing on the cake:

That is a pretty old tool. We had one in the body shop at the Chevrolet dealer, back in 1968, they called it a Pogo stick and I think it had been around way before that. They really worked, even on the heavy stuff that GM used to make!!!

Never seen one. The logic is sound.
I was a member on another forum once upon a time. And the idea was a thread where other users could “loan” tools from one another like Kragen.
Person who needed the tool would pay a deposit plus shipping both ways.
This tool makes that idea seem handy.

Very Nice. I've got 2 bumpers that can use that tool. We have chain hooks similar to the on the wreckers. I bet I can rig something up with our wheel lift hooks and chains.
