First post here, hello all. From Phoenix, AZ, just bought my K5 about 4 months ago. Had an '87 back in the day, was on a hunt for a 72', but couldnt find anything as turn key as I wanted for what I was willing to pay.

Anyway, truck is '86 K5 4X4
L98 TPI 350 (92 Z28 IROC)
700R4
NP208
CORP 10 bolt F/R
6" Rancho
35's
AC, 31G tank, ect ect...

Ive made mostly cosmetic changes since getting her, motor rebuild is in the near future. Will do another 350, maybe 383, but keeping the TPI.

Seats in it were from 92'-96'? Tahoe. Found a set F/R from an 82' K5 locally on CL, cheap. Recently redone, not brand new, but the right fit for this truck. They are actually much cleaner than they appear too...

Oh man, that's a nice rig !!! Welcome to GMSB Jerry. Gotta love the guys that know how to make an introduction and post pics on their first post !!!

I'm jealous twice, Once for the truck, 2nd you're in AZ !!! I hope to transplant to AZ someday. Originally born and raised in So Cal, at age 24 moved to OKC, OK, been here 22 years now, so it's getting closer to time for me to transplant again and likely where I'll live the rest of my life. Not so sure why, but I love AZ. I used to drive to Laughlin two or 3 times a year when married. I love the Desert dry heat, the Colorado River, all the Lakes, Havasu, Mohave, etc. I also like Flagstaff cuz of the mountains and trees even though it's desert. Never have been an ocean person, so AZ has all the things to offer that I like. If I want cool weather, or snow, I can go up the hill to Flag, if I want the river, lakes and 115 degree dry heat I can drop down to Bullhead City, Havasu etc, but I'm leaning towards living in the Kingman area. Close to I 40 for travel back to OKC to see family, and to So Cal to see family, also about in the middle of Flagstaff and Bullhead, and the Kingman demographics are a close match to the city I live in here in OK, so I should get along well there.

Born and raised So-Cal here too. And when I say So-Cal it doesnt get any more So than Imperial Beach. I always hated "Zonies" as we called them growing up, for coming over during the summer and taking ALL the parking spots at the beaches.

Moved to OKC at 24........military?

Been here 12yrs now and love it. Still get over to San Diego 3-4X a year, just too crowded and $$ anymore. Flag is awesome, would love to live up there. Love day trips on the bike up that way, through Jerome-Sedona-Prescot...... Good time of year to head North for a day or two, was only 105* today, 110* next week and 115* isnt that far off.

Nope, not military. Parents divorced when younger, mother's husband had a job transfer and moved to OKC. When I needed a change, I decided to go see mom and bros and give it a try. Worked my ass off in So Cal, trying to support a fair household to raise my 2yo daughter and couldn't do it making $20hr. Moved to OKC, got off to a slow start not knowing anyone or my way around, but just over a year later bought my first house, so it's been a good move considering.
