We noticed today that we had some water seepage inside the cab near the rear speakers, so I went looking in the fender wells. We live in the Seattle area where is tends to rain a bit, so I thought that the water might be coming from a rusted area in there. Well, on both side I have at least a 2" rusted crack right up into the body. The front fenders look great. So, since I'm new to body work and this is our daily driver, what is the best way to take care of this? New inner fenders (where?) or some other type of repair? I thought about contacting a body shop nearby to have a quote on repairing this, too. I don't know how to weld, so that is out of the question for me.

Good metal needs cut out of a donor truck, or new metal needs fabbed and welded in. There are no reproduction panels available for the rear wheelwells... which is really dumb, because it's the first area to rot on most Suburbans.

If you are talking about the seam in the middle has rotted open just cut some sheet metal from Home Depot into 6" wide strips and glue/caulk or epoxy them into place. The worst part about that particular type of rust hole is that the wheels start to sling **** up inside the body and start rusting out the rest of the body panels from the inside out.
