81 K20, 350/4 speed
I took the plunge and decided to change out all my door and door/window gaskets. I ordered the (2 pc) gaskets from Brothers, ripped the drivers side out, drilled out all the rivets, cleaned out the old gaskets repainted everything and got the new large gasket installed, but when I went to install the straight gasket it was a different style. Mine is riveted in, but the kit had tabs.
Chased it around a bit and it appears that the 80 and down had the riveted gasket, 81 thru... *** has a 2 pc tabbed gasket. According to the tag my truck was built in 09/80 - is it possible that they were using up the rest of the old parts on the early 81s? I have no idea what to do with it.
