Long story short I clipped a dodge with my 1979 k30 n ruined the headlight bezel n dented the fender. Fenders were already rusted so not a huge loss. Im having trouble finding a good round eye front clip. Came across a this 1980 grill/support n looks same as 79’ except it’s square headlights. I believe this front end came with older style fenders with the vertical markers. Would it be a direct swap for my 79’. Thanks

Fenders and hoods are the same between 79 and 80. most of the 80's were round headlights the square headlights were a special option in 80 only. The fact you have the complete radiator support you should be good to go..

Thanks for the help. I’ve always preferred the look of the older style headlights n fenders. But this 80’ grill/support seems like the best of both worlds. the seller can’t meet untill Sunday. I’ll update this weekend.

Good to hear about that chrome grill.. my 1980 has that one.. just plastic and GMC. Definitely had better years. But unless I take my plow bracket off, ill live with it.

Yes it's new.
They say it's chrome, but is it metal or is it cheap plastic that's painted chrome? Have not been impressed with the quality of Brother's parts as of late. Hell, even the metal grille parts are thin and cheap. Buyer beware, because once you pay shipping to you, return shipping back to them because it's a POS, and their restocking fee, you may as well toss it in the trash or hang it on the wall

Finished the radiator support swap and got a new old fender for the passenger side. Definitely need the radiator support and grille to bumper filler that came with the headlights you want. The bumper filler doesn’t have provisions to mount the parking lights because the bezel holds the parking light. Also I had to modify my headlight plugs as the prongs on the square headlights are shorter than originals and the plug wouldn’t hold onto the light.
