My project is actually a 1958 1/2 ton Chevy truck. Body is going on this chassis I am asking about. Body kit is at ez-chassisswaps.com . It will have a doner 1978 long bed chassis cut down as per instructions from ez-chassis swap site. Power is from very low mileage ‘97 454 converted to carburetor, NV4500 5-speed, advanced adapter to my NP205 xfer case. A '78 Log bed chassis. The actual bed I do not need. What is it's worth? No major dents, Just a very small patch of rust in back corner of bed. I am in eastern New Mexico, just 90 miles from Lubbock.

Depends where you sell it.
The guys in the rust belt would pay top dollar for a clean bed like that.

Around where you live that may not be anything more than normal, so demand is low.

It falls on how much work you want to do to make more cash.

Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I bought almost an identical one to that here in oregon about 2 years ago for $50. I see them all the time listed for anywhere between $50-400 around here. I've heard people in the rust belt say that they would gladly pay $2k for a clean bed....

@goodwinml
I'm in New Mexico also, I'd say in this state thatd be worth between $100 and $300. I just bought one a while back for $200, good condition like that.
But it all depends how bad someone would want one.
I know people desperate for a good solid bed out in coastal areas.

Love what your doing BTW, cant wait to see it when it's done, that sounds like a killer setup you got going.

And PS, my 78 K10 looks nearly identical to yours right now, haha.

:beatdeadhorse5:Again ! I can’t believe the “what is it worth?” question is still being asked. As stated..and as always, it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay. There is always Too many variables to ever state or estimate a value.

Los Angeles, up to $500 if you're local. Six months ago I crunched my pass side long bed fleetside. No vendor had replacements in stock, if they would have them in future price would now be $999 up from $799, truck shipping adds $250 if you can even sched a LTL shipment, then....my favorite part! A couple retailers couldn't ship to CA at all, because...wait for it....

MANUFACTURER HAD NOT FILED THEIR PROP65 PAPERWORK FOR 2022!

(For those in the real world, Ca Prop 65 requires anything sold in CA must have huge warning
Labels telling you EVERYTHING GIVES YOU CANCER. Plywood, lumber, even stamped sheet metal parts. Coffee. Air. Paper. Bottled watter. Razor blades. Everything.)

Wow, I can’t believe I got the one of those people that knows all does all AND graduated clown school all in one post. Your special. Btw, most people asking this question actually have no idea what they have is worth. That’s why the question. They don’t want to post $50 and it’s worth $1000, or $1000 and it’s worth $50. Hense the question. But since you seem to know all, enlighten us on your wisdom!

This is like bozo's asking, 'How much HP can I make out of this?" The answer is, "How much $$$$ you got?"

In my area that's probably $750 tops, $1000+ if it has a decent tailgate to go with it.

Edit, just now noticed the tailgate. Like others said, if you want to go through the hassle of shipping, there are plenty of people in salted road states that would happily pay a 4 digit price tag for a complete bed and tailgate.

Portales. Are you talking about the guy up around the Santa Fe area? There is a guy up there I was talking too a few years ago doing c10 chassis swaps on 55-59’s. After a few months I made a comment on Facebook, he got very pissed at me because of the comment I typed. I will just say that he has bad “Trump Derangement Syndrome”. I think he wears those pink kitty cat hats too. He is in the mountains, perfect place for snowflakes. The ‘94 suburban is my sons. He had 40” tires on it for awhile. Not suitable for the road. He can’t afford new tires right now so she sits on those ****** wheels and tires.
