Damn !!! REALLY? Did you get $125 for it? I have about 10 of those bastards. I'd be happy as a pig in **** to get $50-$75 2wd Pre 86 for cores.

I wound up with $120 because I didn't have any change, I was plenty pleased with that. I was surprised it went so fast. Probably helped a bit that it was an 87' core. At least now I can stop tripping over the thing! :rotflmao:

Oh yeah, that helped a little. But still, I've paid anywhere from $10-$25 for my complete cores. I did pay $30ea for Two 92 models that were 2wd. Then I did pay $100 for a 4x4 K Case 90 Model with NP241C and sold the NP241C for $100 and kept the K case core. Yep you did damn good to get $120. I'd let 2 of mine go for that.

Dang, wish I could find cores for that. The market down here in Austin is kind of crappy, not much choice and it's all expensive. I've seen core 350s on CL here for 500-750 on a regular basis. BBs are 1000+. Occasionally you'll happen across a decent deal, but they are rare (and only happen when I have no money!)

Well, I have to work it to get them that cheap. I usually just send them an email when they're asking $50-$100 for cores that I want. Let them know I build transmission and hate to see them cores end up in the scrap yard out of service for $10 or so just to get it out of your way and wasting your time and gas to get rid of it. So if it doesn't sell and comes to that and you need it out of your way, I'll come pick it up and get it out of your way for $25. Many times they'll hit me right back up, and say, yeah, it hasn't sold in 2 months and the wife is bitchin', so give me a call at .... . I don't rip them off, and I"m honest with them. I flat them, if it were an 88-92, I'd pay $50 for it, but the older units usually aren't worth a thing cuz everyone who knows transmissions, knows the 88-92's are the one to have. Or I'll tell them, Normally I only pay $25, but since yours is an 88-92, I'll pay $40 for it since they're a little more desireable. And really, I am doing some people a favor. They woudln't get **** for them, not worth their time to haul them off, or they don't have a truck to haul them off. I love the ones where, they have 3 or 4 and they don't even know what they are, and I can usually tell what they are in the pics and offer $20 each IF I TAKE ALL OF THEM. I once paid $50 for 2 Turbo 350,s and a Turbo 400. When I got there, the guy said, may as well take this POS too, and it was a Ford FE motor C6. I ended up selling it on eBay for like $175 or so, crated it up and shipped it to LoosyAnna. :insane:
