Hello guys I was just wondering what you guys think about 56 inch swap up front of a k30 that is my daily driver. I currently have 6 inch springs up front with a 2 inch add aleaf and a easy inch. Truck is rough of course and a little tight with my 38s. Iv trimmed to my innerfender But I still need a bit more room for stomping. Would you guys do the 56inch swap or the easy ride 8 inch for a daily driver . I also like the 56s to offset my axle forward of my firewall. Let me know what u think. Also can u mount the 52s with no mods other then the longer shackled. I got cross over to install at the same time.

You'll need to remount the front hangers. You'll also need to look into different shock mounts, and extended brake lines. I would advise against 56s in favor of 52s. You'll also need to use a sway bar on the front too, as 52s and 56s are VERY flexy, and unstable on the road without one.

I was looking at ordering diy4x 56beyond. I am running sway bar disconnect. Will stock sway bar work. Is it worth it over the 8 inch easy ride. If I go with 52s/56s they will be 6inch lifted 52/56s should get me 10inch

Whatever you decide to do, get lots of pics before, during and after. We've got plenty of space here to host those pics and see how it's done. :waytogo:

Call DIY4X and talk to Kert. He's a great guy to deal with, and will lead you in the right direction.

now can any one give me pros and cons to 52s or 56. Either one I order will be 6inch lifted springs on the skull crusher he used 56 and offset the front 6inch forward. Sounds nice cause I have been smashing my firewall

The 56's will be smoother riding if you're talking for the rears. For the fronts, you prolly need to do the 52's.

IIRC Kert's kit moves the front mount forward 4", this added with the extra 2.5" spring from the front eye to the center pin moves the axle forward 1.5". Add one of DIY4X's EZ Inch add a leaf, and you can end up with the axle 2.5" forward. If he has added more forward adjustment, your front axle would move out an additional inch for every inch forward over 4" you can mount the front eye.

52s have the spring pin centered, at 26" from either eye. While 56s have the pin 26"from the front eye, and 30" from the rear eye. If you were to mount them backwards, with the 4" forward mounting position, and an EZ Inch moved forward 1", you would actually end up moving the axle towards the floorboard, which is exactly the opposite of what the kit is designed to do.

He hadthen installed backwards to begin with. Long side forward is terrible for approach angle.

I am ordering the 6 inch 56s. They are cheaper then the 52s for some reason. I will post picks when install. Should have the pieces in two weeks
