hey guys i have a 77 c10 that im ready to do a lowering system on it. Im piecing part together and im just need some additional help. I do have aftermarket wheels on the truck and they are 15x8 in fronts and 15x10 weld draglites. not sure the backspacing on them. When i bought the wheels, the seller also gave me a set of 3inch lowering spindles for free. not sure the brand but i think he said belltech. now i was searching online and i found a seller that is selling cpp 2inch drop springs for 80 bucks. model number on the springs are fcs6102-2. as for the rears im going for djm 5in flip kit. My questions is that is it safe to use 2 inch drop springs with a 3 inch drop spindle or will i run into problems. I do know i might have to grind the lca for clearance with the drop spindles. has anybody done this setup, do u have to buy lowering shocks? need some feedback. thanks

You may not have clearance with that spindle with 15” rims. @R10C10 or @smoothandlow84 could give you a definitive answer.

the guy i bought the rims had the drop spindles on the truck with the rims and he said he drove it like that. The reason he selling the items is because hes daily driving his truck now and he put to factory specs

Your long tube headers should be fine. my truck is lowered 7" in the front with long tube headers and I hardly drag them.
