Anybody know of a 4" 1 ton lift that's all springs and no lift blocks? I found one from skyjacker but I want to keep my options open. I don't want blocks because I want to avoid axle wrap as much as possible. I also want to keep as much of the 1 ton towing weight as possible.

If the weight rating is a priority, you might want to stay away from rear lift springs because they aren't designed with towing in mind. Your best option is going to be blocks or a shackle flip, IMHO.

I agree. And with a 4 in front lift spring, you should be just fine with 2in blocks in the rear and have the truck sitting very close to level that way too. Axle wrap shouldn't be a huge issue with 2in blocks or is it possible to add 2in zero rates to the current spring pack? That I'm not sure of.

I've had blocks on the rear of my 87 3/4 ton with 4 inch springs up front for over twenty years and I've never had a problem with axle wrap. Now if you were to go taller I think you might have a problem with the blocks.

How tall are you rear blocks?

Axle wrap is more common on standard trans trucks than automatics. The rear blocks I had on mine with 4' lift would jar your teeth out, between the flywheel needing resurfaced, leaky rear main keeping the clutch oiled up, and 33" tires/3.73 gears.

Go with the TC 4" HD springs up front and the 1 ton ORD 4" shackle flip in the back. That way you have beefier springs than the factory up front and the rear weight capacity will not be affected what so ever.

Thanks for the info guys. I will probably be going with the 4" with a block in the rear. I just need to look into a shackle flip and see if I like that idea.

Shackle flip is a great option, just make sure you go with the HD shackle since you still intend to tow with it, stock ones can fold under lateral force. Offroad Design also sells the HD shackles.

Companies like Deaver or Alcan will build custom spring packs to your (and your trucks) specs.

Ok. I'll probably go that route. I most defenitaly will get HD ones because I do intend to use it for towing. So any recomendations on shocks?
