350 TBI FUEL PUMP

What fuel pump (how many psi) do you recommend for a 350 TBI 5.7? I'm looking to put in an external one. any tips? brands?

Hi and welcome! The original pump from napa ect. is cheap and easy to install. Just get a new lock ring and o-ring for a easy peasy swap. A new set of gas tank straps and hardware would prolly speed thins up as well.

I would go with a 1996-up Vortec pump (ep381) because of the flow rate. The original TBI pump (ep386) barely flowed enough to support the 4.3/5.0 engines, much less the 5.7/7.4 engines.
And before anyone says “but that is a high pressure pump” remember, the pump is capable of producing a higher pressure, but the system pressure is set by the regulator in the TBI
