I need to replace my exhaust manifold gasket and was wondering how many exhaust manifold bolts there are?

Also with the stock exhaust where can I buy the gaskets located in between the manifold and main exhaust? The two donut gasket......

Thanks

And not sure if you're with the Integral head or not, but for sure, the divorced intake and exhaust manifolds are bolted together underneath too.

Hey guys, I'm back at it this again. I need to get the exhaust manifold off of my L6 intregal head. From underneath the motor I only see tow bolts. I assume the bolts to remove the manifold are located on top of the intake?

Thanks

Not many straight-6 guys around here, but I believe you are correct in that the bolts are on top. Been a while since I disassembled one, but I think there were 4 bolts through the intake into the exhaust.

You may want to check someforums for older GM cars, you'll probably be more likely to find straight-6 parts there, I would think.

You may have said already, but... What is wrong with your current one? Is it something you can have a welder guy fix? Like a crack? I know they're hard to find. I won't even tell you I scrapped one about a year and half ago that was in perfect shape.

You're not many away from the 50 posts. I'll put an ad in the wanted section. Really, it's not real hard to hit the 50 posts. It's more for the sellers on that rule, not for the wanted items, but the forum doesn't let us split it up that way.

alright, I have all but one of the bolts removed to get this thing off. Any suggestions of how to remove the bolt that is underneath the manifold closest to the engine block right above the motor mount?

79Scott, I know it's an old post, but I'm in the same situation as you, needing a new exhaust manifold for integral head. Were you able to find one out there?
