Im Helping a friend put in an engine and harness from a 95 454 into a 98 K 2500 truck. In the tank is a new fuel pump and sending unit. I'm hoping to simply replace the pump and use sending unit. My questions are
does Anyone have a part number for a good one to use? And Is it true that a little extra psi is good?If so how much is acceptable. know that the vortec pump is way too much.
And Yes. There will be pics

Is the 95 still TBI? Or going carb? If still tbi, you are good with the current pump, as the tbi has the regulator built in it

Going to stay tbi on this one
keep the pump and sender from the 98. The 94-95 454TBI called for 30psi instead of the prior years and 350's that called for ~12psi. The EP381 that came on the vortec trucks will supply enough fuel for about 450-500hp before you need to start thinking about an upgrade.
