Did 87 Burbs come with a serpentine belt system, or v-belts?

May or may not be a roller block, if it is, it will probably just be the block with provisions. No roller cam or related parts.
If you were closer to me, I'd give you the old engine from my '89 complete with serp. setup. It too knocks.

They came with half serp systems. A skinny serpentine belt ran the water pump and alt. and a v-belt ran the water pump and ps pump. Tension was adjusted on the serpentine via the alternator. This is the setup I have on my 77 which came out of an 87 burb.
It is ribbed like a serp belt (one less rib though), but it is not a serpentine belt. A serpentine belt bobs and weaves around several pulleys, using the ribbed and the smooth side of the belt. Through the '88 model year of these trucks, the alternator belt is just a fancy v-belt.
I call them a serpentine belt because they look just like a serpentine belt, its less confusing to most people than saying its a flat ribbed belt. It looks nothing like a V belt, it looks like a serpentine belt.
Me too. Try going into a parts store and asking the flunkie behind the counter for a ribbed v-belt. Lol.
