Build of the K20 is progressing along. Got the 454 block mated up to the 465 and 205. All fit together and installed with no issues. The truck originally had a 350 with a TH350 and a 203 x case. I wanted to do a mockup to verify the lengths of the drive shafts. Looks like I'm going to need to shorten the front and lengthen the rear. One question I have concerns the front shock length. Currently, the shocks are about 1" short. Should I be concerned or will the additional weight of the cab, doghouse and full engine drop the frame down? I have 3 springs on the front. Thanks in advance!

Tell us more about these shocks. Do you mean right now,you can't install the shocks? If that's the case you are going to need longer shocks. The wheels need to be able to drop, not just compress. Someone might say you can relocate the shock mounts. Just get longer shocks. You'll want to check extended and compressed lengths.

More than likely the th350/203 to a 4 speed/205 is causing the length difference in the shafts. Also, you have the engine installed as a bare block, so you're missing hundreds of pounds off the nose just with that.. not including core support, body and all accessories. By the time its all said and done you're going to add a ton of weight back to the front of it, literally.
