so i live out in the sticks.
don't see a soul for months.
once a year, the 100 acre wood rally race is held.
big todo in town (25 minutes away), then race around on the county roads.
one of the 'legs' is held out my way.
usually the spectator spot is 1.5 miles further down my county road (gravel) and people flock past my property to get there.
this year, NO spectators allowed and the route has been changed.
the finish line is at my neighbor's property with the 'slow down' ending at my property line.
i set up a few more NO TRESPASSING signs in case some people ignored the no spectator directive and then setup ol' skidmark to block my driveway.
i drove my wife's golf cart up to the corner and while keeping an eye on the 'front 40' i watched a few race cars go by.
they had already passed the finish line, gotten their time, and were proceeding to the next leg.
you can see some needed to pull over and shed some race gear before movin' on.
my wife and her mother/father/sister went over to the neighbors to watch the actual speeding cars.
luckily we have a winding path through the woods connecting the properties. the road was shut down.
they had a blast and i had a nice relaxing time sittin' in the golf kart looking menacing
