Whole A/C system Oil Capacity from R12 to R134A

I have a complete A/C system in my 1980 High Sierra, and ever since i've bought it it doesn't work. ALTHOUGH my ac compressor clutch alerts me that it's low on freon, so perhaps i just need to put some in? Surely i'ts not that simple. Ls swap is done. 87 Chevy r10 that is an a/c truck. All that wiring is intact. I have the upper a/c mount for the motor that will accept the Sanden or pancake style compressor. Can I use all the original A/c wiring with a newer serpentine style compressor?- 87C10LS
