If you haven't purchased the components yet, I'd check out J and N electric online. They have a big selection and the tech support is awesome.

    78 k10 starter problem

Are you running long tube headers? I had the same issue but only afternoon ran for a bit then it started doing the same cold or hot. If headers overheat the starter it'll draw hard but do nothing. I use a Wilson brand small body high torque starter now with heat shields and wraps.

Does a seal exist for my factory 1977 c10 sliding window

I would try a company called Metro molding. They make custom cab mount bushings window gaskets 1/4 glass etc. reasonably priced to. If rubber Steele products, LMC or Metro molding doesn't have it, then I'd say it's your white rhino

Does a seal exist for my factory 1977 c10 sliding window

Agreed with precision. I use a quarts radiant heat lamp to soften the gasket and keep it on while installing and lots of dawn dish soap and water in a spray bottle. Just don't get too much heat on it

That would be why the good Lord Lord made plasma torches, grinders and welders. I don't think they will. The square body dimensions are different than what the GMT 400 platform. Then again Chevy has been pretty good about not changing the glass for every vehicle produced.

This is a double cardan 1350 drive shaft from a 1ton with a 205 t case and Dana 60 front diff Tom woods can build a custom one to fit your rig after some measurements and they are pretty cheap I believe 349 is for the 2 inch tube. I have a whole 241c transfer case from an 05 06 2500 with 148,000 on it. Manual shift. I'd let the whole thing go cheap.

What have you done to your square lately??

Sounds like it would be easier to find someone with a GM tech 2 hand held scanner or a scanner with OBD1 capability

Need help identifying sloppy driveshaft/diff play!

Next step is pull the diff cover and check the cross pin and the mounting area where it rides. If that's cracked or worn a carrier replacement is necessary but it may the spider gears needing shimmed. A nesting kit should have all you need. If a carrier is what you need, I use Detroit tru-trac...

Need help identifying sloppy driveshaft/diff play!

That's a strong axle. I believe the backlash is supposed to .005-.008 inch. That's what I always set mine to with the 4.10 carrier. You can check if the cross pin is worn which would result in carrier replacement. Lift one side and rotate the wheel back and forth with the driveshaft hooked up...

Need help identifying sloppy driveshaft/diff play!

Worn carrier bearings, pinion bearings, stretched chain in case. Most likely pinion. What differentials do you have?
  18. Bowtie-dad

    Front Driveshaft Question

Yes, that is called a dust shield and they are available through Denny's driveshafts in splined and non splined variety. Just have to measure the shaft diameter and count splines.

1973 1500 k20 steering issues caused by hydro boost?

Looking it up on O'Reilly's pro and Mitchell it shows 2 different parts numbers. If they ask you just make sure to say it is hydro boost.

    Hydro Boost

Might want to check to see if your system was equiped with a filter in the power steering system. Mine did the same thing after replacing the steering gear. Looked it up on all data and found out it. When you bleed the system the engine should not be allowed to run, just pull the couple wire and...
