    Gun Rack Spacing

It's still legal in MN when traveling to and from hunting locations, as long as you stay out of the three major metro counties and towns of 2,500 or greater. It also needs to be unloaded. I suppose I should play around with the rack and my shotguns. Does anyone have an example spacing to start...

    Gun Rack Spacing

How far apart are your gun rack bars mounted? I'm referring to the brackets that bridge the rear window opening. I got a rack from @bigcountry78 awhile back, and now I'm thinking that I need to get it mounted before I go grouse hunting in a couple weeks. I haven't made time to install my...

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

The spark plugs from my engine look like they were smashed differently than yours... I still had these 2 riding in my truck. If you're lucky, your plug was bent before installation.

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

The number 6 plug in my K10 has closed up like that on 3 occasions. Each time a peice of the piston bounces around and closes the spark plug gap causing the engine to run poorly (compared the baseline ). I replce the spark plug and it keeps going. That's a high mileage 305, and not a fresh...

    Help with grinding/whirring sound!

I had a set of locking hubs go bad on me. That made a grinding/whirring sound directly proportional to wheel speed. Replaced them and the truck was happy again.

New Tires, What should I do for wheels?

Thank you all for the input earlier this spring. I'm finally following up with " before and after" pics... I ended up cleaning and repainting the wheels myself, and I'm pleased with how they turned out. I also gave the hood a backyard paint job last month. I was tired of hearing my wife...

    Heat box swap

This isn't necessary... These squares have been melting the coldest of ice since the day they left the show room. Something is farqued with your heat... ^ I'm pretty sure this is correct. Before I hooked the vacuum line up in my K20, the vent would blow harsh warm air in the summer heat. ^...

    SWAPPING 84 c10 body onto 84 k10 FRAME

There will be clearance between the 4wd transmission and the 2wd floor, but your 4wd shifter needs the 4wd hump to be in the correct position with the right throw/geometry. Save the hump from your 4wd truck and bolt or weld it to the floor of your 2wd cab to make it work.

    Cross pin bolt snapped

If it won't back out with a pick set and patience, the kit sold for this broken bolt removal is well worth the investment.

New Tires, What should I do for wheels?

I do love the topper. It was well worth the $50 price on Craigslist. Probably even a better score than the $50 brush guard I put on it.

New Tires, What should I do for wheels?

Now I see what you guys are saying. Thanks for keeping me in line. I have to think a little more about this... Maybe I just paint my existing wagon wheels since they're in decent shape with minimal rust. They're just very poorly painted at the moment.

New Tires, What should I do for wheels?

White wagon wheels it is! I've thought about painting them, but this truck may see Minnesota winter at some point and I'm afraid of some rust working through painted compared to powder coated wheels. They're not bad as far as rust goes, but they're spray painted silver over white and very...

New Tires, What should I do for wheels?

I see the consensus is hubcaps if stock steelies are used. Unfortunately I aint got a set of hubcaps. I suppose that steers me towards redoing the wagon wheels. Thanks for the input!

New Tires, What should I do for wheels?

So I bought a new set of 265/75R16 BFGs for my K20, now I need to decide what to mount them on. The picture below shows what the truck is currently sitting on (aftermarket wagon wheels with ancient 235/85R16 tires). I also have a set of stock steel wheels. No matter which set I go with, they...

    Brake shoe placement?

@305_Square_Body Did you get it figured out over the weekend? I went through this struggle on my umpteenth brake shoe replacement last year... Undo the brake line from the wheel cylinder to get the pins to fully compress within the wheel cylinder. Then the shoes will come in and the drum will...

    1984 k10 700r4 won't shift out of 2nd please help!

Auroragirl is right. The carb/choke/idle shouldn't be related to your transmission issue. The only common link there is the TV cable linkage at the carb. I don't know what to suggest, but a using pressure gauge that can be monitored while driving can tell you a lot.

    New tires and painted rims!

The truck looks great! How much did it cost you to powder coat the set of wheels? I need to do something similar, and am debating between painting them or doing it right like you did.

    heater issues

Is the vacuum line to the firewall still in place? I think that's necessary to get everything functioning properly, and I don't see it mentioned above.

    2003 Acura MDX

Nice score! I like your "trial period" idea while waiting for the title. Like you, I have no desire to own a vehicle like that, but I have enough sense that I wouldn't pass on that offer either.

    Installing windshield in a Squarebody

What's causing them to break? What's different between your experience and the videos you've watched? Putting the gasket on the pinch weld first, and then fitting the windshield in place is the correct way. At least it worked for me. Make sure you have the appropriate hand tools (eg plastic...

    VARMITS

I found this guy while rotating tires last night. I'm guessing he's responsible for the seeds I found sitting on my intake manifold.
