Thanks, ya the bones are all there and it was taken care of. I think I just want to do some research on things to do to prevent stalling (idling too long, over heating and what to look out for and keep in mind, etc. ). I'm so used to driving newer cars, it's real fun getting to feel the truck...- Bob R

Recently picked up a 1982 GMC sierra classic. Believe at one point it was a diesel then converted to a dual tank gas system. Lots of personal additions from previous owner. Would love to get feedback on where a first time truck owner could get info on how to keep an older truck up and running...- Bob R
