Best tires
I have 8 rims with blizzaks, 4 worn for summer - great in rain and grass, 4 newer for winter. I buy new summer tires when they get worn and they become the newer winter rims. Very quiet running and a good ride. If you carry a lot of weight, I would use light truck tires instead. How you use...- Oliver

1/2 ton springs installed on 3/4 ton truck
My 3/4 ton 1983 2wd camper special truck beat me and my wife up on a 14 hour trip. Has anyone changed out 3/4 springs front and rear for 1/2 ton springs for a smoother ride? Any info is wanted. I suspect I can remove some leafs from the rear and remove the rear helper spring shocks but unsure...- Oliver

What year front clip do you like best?
I like the 83-84 stacked lights because the horizontal color strip has stainless trim top and bottom all the way across including the headlight bezels. I also like the 81 front bumper with the inset turn signals ( but they do clog with snow if you drive it in winter )- Oliver

Alternator 150amp-best brand(s)?
My 1983 c20 350/700r4 has a weak alternator...drops to 10 volts with air conditioning on. I want to replace with a 150 amp reliable quality unit (future audio upgrades coming). Anyone has suggestions on what brand is best? Hopefully from past experience.
