Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

It may look like an opposing angle from the picture but the Truck is jacked up in the air. It is perpendicular with the crossmember it mounts to. Sorry for the confusion.

Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

Are you saying it is on backward? It is mounted to a flat crossmember, so I don't know if pulling it off, and turning it around would do anything for it?

Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

I found one loose torque converter bolt when looking at the flex plate. Balancer, motor mounts and trans mount are fine. I think I'm going to see if moving the torque converter over one set of holes does anything. If not then I'll move it to the next set to exhaust my options there.

Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

I just did purchase this truck. It has had the vibration ever since I have owned it. As you asked. Here are photos of the carrier bearing. Is this normal? The driveshaft angle is around 4 Degrees. Output shaft and rear end are both orientated in the same direction at the same 3 or 4 degrees...

Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

I appreciate the help. I have not tired rotating the tires but this problem persisted before the new tires, and after as well. I will get a chance hopefully today to re-index the driveshaft and I will report my findings.

Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

Steering joints, Ball Joints and motor/trans mounts are all solid. Thanks for the advice though. It feels like its a driveline vibration more than from the front suspension.

Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

All stock height suspension components both front and rear. It seems the vibration is a little less severe after all the parts have been replaced. Shifting to neutral does not eliminate the vibrations. I think I'll be balancing the driveshaft after I rotate the two pieces 180 degrees to see if...

Driveline Vibration. U-Joints, Carrier Bearing, and Output shaft Bushing Replaced.

In my 1985 C10 I've got a pretty good vibration throughout the truck that I can't quite nail down. As stated in the title, I've replaced the carrier bearing, all 3 U joints in the 2-Piece driveshaft as well as the output shaft bushing in the tailshaft of the transmission. The Tires have all been...

    Squarebody Bolt List? Odd Question!

Great ideas. Thanks for the help! Should be done with paint before the new year and onto final assembly.

    Squarebody Bolt List? Odd Question!

Thanks! Unfortunately, LMC does have some great exploded diagrams but they do not have any descriptions of the bolt sizing.

    Squarebody Bolt List? Odd Question!

Good call, they do typically include them.

    Squarebody Bolt List? Odd Question!

I recently acquired a 1985 K20 on Trade. I plan on painting the truck and reassembling the truck. I have all the parts ( I think) but the previous owner didn't do much in the ways for organizing the fasteners. Now I know there are only so many combinations of sizes but if there were some...
