    power window relay mod

I'm also fighting slow power windows. Greasing the guides helped, however windows are still too slow. Windows go noticeably faster when controlled from the door switch than from the master switches on drivers door, so the issue is related to lenghth of wires and the fact that both ground and...

Adding a headrest to a bench seat

I wonder do you have something like this available in the US? It is a slide-on headrest, an accessory from a 70's Fiat 126p. These slid onto factory low back seat and added some whiplash protection. When matched with the factory upholstery it looked like a seat with integrated headrest.

    Ideas for missing headliner

That's an interesting option, thank you for the idea, I've searched how does it look and it's not bad! Once the fabric is tensioned it is hard to tell that it is not glued to something rigid. And the shipping would be way easier than a giant flat box. that's way over my woodworking skill level...

    Ideas for missing headliner

Not sure what kind of headliner it is... Interesting idea, would probably work like a butyl sound deadening mat. However I can't imagine how to apply ot on a roof w/o removing whole interior to get it do.e

Options for tuning of Gen1 TBI in 2023

For the price of a Haltech one can get a Sniper EFI, so that doesn't seem to be a cost effective. Good thing that GM TBI is not a forgotten tech and there is still some aftermarket supporting it :)

Options for tuning of Gen1 TBI in 2023

Is it like a pre-programmed chip that you cannot reprogram? That also sounds good and I don't mean the name ;) Will google around.

Options for tuning of Gen1 TBI in 2023

That Dynamic EFI looks like something I was looking for! I've been on that page but by looking how it looks like it was last updated in the 90's I judged that this product is probably no longer available :) And I agree that unless I'm doing some major changes then a tuning won't be needed, a...

Options for tuning of Gen1 TBI in 2023

Hi, I'm trying to find out what are the options for tuning of the 1990 TBI system these days. From what I've learned the ECU has a PROM memory, a one-time programmable chip that stores the base tune and adjustments are done on the go using inputs mostly from O2 sensors. That's similar to what...

Can you add a dome light to a truck

Speaking of a dome light, or more a dome light wiring: Is there a way to turn it off? So far I've found that a light switch doubles as a dimmer dimmer and a dash dimmer doubles as a dome light ON switch, but I have not found how to permanently turn the lights off. It's bit annoying to disconnect...

    Ideas for missing headliner

Availability of building materials is also slightly different than in US, like I've never seen plastic wallboards in bathrooms, however there are some PVC boards available at our DIY/construction shops. Luan board seems also like a good choice, thanks for ideas!

    Ideas for missing headliner

Hi, In the Suburban I bought there is no headliner, not even the moldings, I have just bare metal roof. I know that $529.95 can get me a headliner from LMC, however shipping is an issue as I'm in Poland. I've searched the forums and I coudn't find if anyone has ever made a headliner from...

    Welcome from Poland!

I don't want to go crazy with anything, however this thing could have a little bit more power out of that 350 cubic inches.

    New headliner!

Really nice! I have a question as I'm currently missing a headliner, did you also get a new headliner molding, or just the material? I'm unfortunately missing the moldings and have a bare metal roof on the inside. P.S. Both of your rigs look great in that black and red combo, I think mine...

    Welcome from Poland!

The "historic" part is tricky: One of the benefits of "yellow plates" (our regular plates are white) is that there are no yearly technical inspections needed, so there is no direct control of what you've done to the vehicle. However you need to report to the "regional register of historic...

    Welcome from Poland!

Hi! After years of watching american car videos and over a year of looking around what to buy I got myself my first US made vehicle, a 1990 Chevy Suburban V1500. I secretly fallen in love with those things about a decade ago watching Roadkill, with Muscle Truck, Macho Grande and a ramp truck...
