Oh yeah to add to this, during this limp mode there is an audible clicking coming from the engine bay, thinking timing. But how does timing work fine at startup and bad after a gear change?- JamesMilk

Ok so didn't know where to post this, kinda transmission problem and kinda engine problem. This is the problem I am having though. When the transmission switches gears, I suddenly lose all power from the engine. Pressing the gas peddle makes it bog down, letting it idle just sounds like it's...- JamesMilk

You're correct, was told it was a C20, kinda confused on the model because I have the seller tell me one thing and the past insurance they got for the truck stated C20 and C10... but the GVWR doesn't lie. It is infact a C10.- JamesMilk

Yeah, now the battery is dying lol, gunna get her a jump, but she did fire right up after I got the cables in the correct order.- JamesMilk

Soo.... It seems I did swap a few cables that were cables on the left side... lol. 4&2 we're swapped and so was 6&8. Suprised it started tbh.- JamesMilk

I will recheck wiring positions, and update what I find. Thought I put them all on correctly, but i did do the right side 1 at a time and the left all at once, so that may be the issue.- JamesMilk

Hello, I'm a new member, but the first repair I have done to her(still need to name her), was changing the spark plugs. I got the old ones out and she needed new plugs so bad(see attachment below). Put in some double iridium plugs from Bosch. And after I relubed the plugs with the silicone...- JamesMilk

New 1978 C10, here for tips n tricks
Well so far this is what I know about the truck, still need to do some more research on the VIN. But it is a 1978 Chevy Silverado C20 Camper Custom, it has a 350 CI (replaced), odometer reads 26k(assuming it rolled over), nice long 8 ft bed. Was told it was an older gentleman's farm work truck...- JamesMilk
