    You can do it but you need to make sure the clutch is Aligned correctly. Also take some long bolts that thread into the block and cut the heads off use them as alignment pins. They will help you guide the engine in.

    Mentioning the choke got me thinking. Can the choke close by lifting the high idle cam? If so, could the bump issue be the choke being closed by the high idle cam thus flooding it out? Its a stretch....

    Still would be good to know the fuel pressure. Could be a weak pump, sucking air in the tank, some of that crap made it up to the injectors or a bad fuel pressure regulator. Also just for giggles whats the ignition timing set at?

    Is your fuel smell only after shutting down when it's warm? What do you have to do to get it to start when it "vapor Locks"? Mine carb used to boil over when I shut down hot. I would hold the pedal down at 1/4 throttle when starting warm and she would light right up.....

    I believe you want the 35362 brackets for hanging the exhaust. I would keep your stick Y-pipe if it is still solid.

    Being it's an 87 the outlet of the Y-pipe is 3" already. Search for the parts listing on the walker website. http://www.walkerexhaust.com/catalog/walker-exhaust-systems/e-catalog-lookup You may be able to price this all up and install it yourself..... I bet you could substitute the muffler for...

    I modded mine but there wasn't enough room for the speaker magnets behind the brackets so you may need to space the speakers or the brackets out a bit.

    It is 4x10. You can get creative and make spacers to mount 6x9 speakers without too much effort. I also saw someone on here with already made brackets to fit 6x9
