    No EGR Please HELP

First, we need to know what your state laws are. They may let you pass with any carburetor, but they my just want to see that stuff hooked up, and the EGR functional. Not hard to do. My suggestion is contact the state governing body for inspections, and get the exact info on what you need, and...

    Edelbrock questions

You would want that worn out Holley back real quick. Eddys have a float bowl capacity problem where fuel washes away from the jets...there is a reason you dont see them in NASCAR.

You diagram looks good. i am guessing that the temp switch is there to keep from locking untill fluid is up to temp...I dunno how detrimental it would be to not use one.Ok, was looking back a few posts. N.O. switch for 4th gear is not correct, according to the GM Factory diagram, It says " opens...

You can use the two post, just have to run a ground wire off the other side...no biggy really. I would just leave any unused switches in.

4th gear switch is nomally open from all the info I can find, ecm would be looking for ground. Also, the normally open switches are silver, normally closed are a goldish color.

Temp switch will close with temp, and is a 1 terminal silver switch that grounds through its bracket to the trans. The bracket is just a curved piece of spring steel. 4/3 switch opens to unlock on shifting from 3 to 4 and vice versa. It is a 2 terminal NC switch. We need HotRod to intervien at...

Ok, i do know that you will need a 2 wire later model TCC solenoid. I hand drew this for clarity from the 90 manual, this is the circuit you will need to end up with. Maybe HR can provide a little more clarity on the old switches, and which, if any can be retained for the new circuit. All...

Walker 80940 is what you need, and its $167 at Rockauto.com. there is also a discount code here in the rock auto section for 5% off. the Magnaflow 50 staet one is $10 more, but Discount in 77k20's link does have it, just go to the toolbar on the left, and go down to series, where it says 50...

    Edelbrock questions

Sounds like you may need smaller jets. All the carbed 305 engines came with 750 Q Jets from the factory. You can call Edelbrock and get the proper jets and rods.

    DIS Set up

Yeah, but for DIS, you need a cam sensor, and the dist drive type is the only way to go on an SBC.
  17. Jims86

    DIS Set up

Oh, and if you do that, watch the firing order difference between LS and SBC...will have to repin injectors and coils...no biggy.

    DIS Set up

Can use a vortec dizzy....drives the earl pump, and doubles as the cam sensor. There is a terminal-less cap that i remember seeing somwhere. I personally would get all the electronics from an LS1, and crank reluctor and timing cover from a vortec. that way its ALL GM.

you can apply voltage but you wont see anything, you may hear it. No, it shouldnt mess with 4wd, i dont understand the 4wd rely, unless it was meant to keep from locking up while wheelin.

    Fuel or ignition issue

I usually gob a shitload of heavy grease on it, then push it up....works best if everything is cold. Your using the grease as a binder.
