86 Sierra cuts off while driving. Seems to flood.

1976 with a 4.8 LS swap info
You need to decide where you are going with the trans. Are you planning on keeping the 76 a 4wd? If so, gonna use the existing trans and transfer case? They make adapters to bolt an old school trans to an LS motor. You can also get a 4wd 4l60e and use an NP208 (wrong, its an NP241) to maintain...- Crispy

Its illegal everywhere. Yea backing up, sometimes blind turns but you get used to it. LED reverse lights help for sure. I'm known to just drop my window when I gotta back up regardless of the weather lol. Passat has a reverse cam but I never use it.- Crispy

35% will be a little dark IMO. I tint all my windshields at 50% and either 5% or 20% for the rest of the vehicle. I dont know why my Passat is so dark but that windshield is only 50% with 5% around and a beige interior. The windshield tint helps cut the glare immensely. I dont have much...- Crispy

OEMs are offering black packages now. It seems to me that as long the lens is clear and the lights are bright it isnt an issue. The smoked film can be hit or miss. But since you arent robbing, killing, adultering or otherwise directly hurting someone its fine. Tail light tint on those chargers...- Crispy

Tach wire caught on fire.
I havent had this problem, yet. But the 1992 Dodge i just bought has a ton of rub marks on the firewall from years of the wires rubbing on it. The paint is actually gone in places. Good Intentions...
Picked up a 1992 Dodge W150 non operational with a decent body for a quick flip. Had a code 11 for the crank sensor so I dove in on that job. It uses 1/4 allen head bolts to attach to the trans bellhousing and being a Dodge theres years of caked oil and dirt in said allen head bolts. After hours... -
Custom alternator voltage
No experience on TBI's but the GMT800s can take it. PCM take its all day but other random stuff stop working. Displays, gauges, switches, etc. It may be the over-volting or it could be the ridiculous shaking going on in the vehicles due to the bass.- Crispy

Did the squares ever come factory with a ceiling sunroof or sound system?
I'm thinking the sunroof may be an aftermarket deal. Those were big sales for audio and glass shops back in the day. Typical style too, just props open a few inches. They just let water in lol. Buckets and may be something from a K5 someone swapped over. Overhead console may be from a custom... -

Running a power line to the rear of the truck
May I also suggest marine battery cable. Oil and salt resistant. Also cover the wire in loom for additional protection. 2 awg will be more than enough which is what I would run.- Crispy

I'm no thief but I wouldnt carry a multimeter and resistors with me to steal a car. Plus the wires are usually buried behind the dash between the column and trans tunnel. Its a bit tedious but quite satisfying to know it wont be a problem again when you're done. BTW those dollies aint movin in...- Crispy

If it were me I'd take a drill or a screwdriver and hammer to the ignition switch and start over after the bypass. Seems to be the cheapest way with least parties involved. I find that doing it myself even its harder sometimes leads to less frustration with either the unwillingness or inability...- Crispy
