    New daily driver

Man I missed the windshield tint post. I have 50% on my ram with 20% all around + the factory tint. 50% on the windshield and 5% all around on my passat. Cant live without it. Backing up sucks at night but whatever, just roll down the windows. As for the leak, I just bought a jeep cherokee...

1987 all original gmc sierra classic Value?

Looks like you dangled this "whats it worth" line out to see if it hit your number. What do you want to sell it for? Metal looks good. Thats a plus Paint does not. Thats a big ding and would kill any hope of a 5 figure pay day. Original mileage is low which is nice. Bed rails and tool box need...

    Fuel Tank Delete

Without ever doing this myself I would imagine that having a carb'd engine would make this simple. Plumb the lines and done. I have no idea how you would get your fuel level sender in that transfer tank and operational. Any reason why you want to delete your stock tanks? Welcome to the board!

You dont have to delete anything @Rusty Nail , thanks for posting up. Those spindles are oem style that retain the stock hub bearing. I was thinking about going to a later model S10 regular spindle and lowering springs in order to run twin piston F body brakes. Jury is still out on that. I wanna...

Thanks for the tidbits on the trans and the aftermarket wheels. I'm gonna have to look them up. I am talking about the mesh GTA wheels. I know I would have to run spacers if use an oem front/rear F body set up, which is fine with me. I'm running spacers on my 99 TA without issue. I'm gonna...

Adding new battery cables and terminals

I run these on all vehicles I either replace battery terminals on or do a wiring upgrade on. Easy to add ring terminals for additional gear and easy to run any gauge battery cables. I buy them in bulk (5-10 packs) of of ebay. Seems like amazon is a little pricey...

    1985 Monte Carlo SS

I meant pre-owned dealership prices of the day. I'm sure it would be more in the teens for a nice clean, low mileage example. The 2004r was an ok trans if you didnt really encourage it. The units from Grand Nationals were a little beefier. Nothing wrong with a 400/400 combo! Super fun cars...

    yep - finally got one! 87 V10 - long bed - 350 - auto

Welcome aboard. Lets see the truck! I second Rusty on the radiator. If you are worried about the rad then have it flushed out then rent a pressure tester and test it out yourself. If it passes use it. If it fails, get it fixed. Heater core is a bit of a job but not as bad as new cars. Mine is...

Alright, engine is out. Offending flexplate is boxed up and ready to be sent back. New flexplate WAS MOCKED FOR FITMENT FIRST!!!! and is mated to the engine. Gonna get back on this Friday and hopefully get it test fired down the carb. Excuse my clean hands, I used gloves because I wanted to...

    1985 Monte Carlo SS

So I got the engine mated to the trans, got the accessory drive bolted up and a new tranny mount in place. Then I walked away because the the flexplate doesnt bolt to the torque converter. W T F!!!! The engine did not come with a flexplate so I purchased the flexplate for the l31 engine. 14"...

Haha no way they arent theft devices. Hood pins were originally designed for racers to keep their fiberglass hoods down during the race or impact. In my monte carlos case where it has the oem hood and a working latch and release it serves no purpose except for being the butt of a joke an...

Tell me about it! Look at 10 year old Camaros, the SS models are still pretty pricey. Hopefully one day the right one comes along for ya. Just be warned it will probably cost that same it did now as it did back in HS lol

    Overhead tonneau cover?

I'd imagine if you were a little handy you could copy the design from the K5 bikini top with some thin wall tube and marine fabric/snaps.

Gonna have to look into it. The rear quarter was done and so with it went the original truck and RPO sheet. Vin starts with a 1 which designates US built and all of my previous SS cars also started with a 1. All had the L69 and F40 (or was it F45) chassis bracing along with proper gauges and...

OoOoooooo nice tidbits there Rusty, thanks. I'll have to check the front clip for that bumper, I didnt know that. I dont wanna get the pinstripes. The plan with the body is to try with a denim wheel and some high cut compound to bring the orange peel down flat. If that doesnt work then the DA...

Sounds like a fun car! I remember those cars costing 800 bux for running driving ones, not any more lol. If you do sell at least itll be a nice payout. Probably not worth what you put into it or what it means to you. I have a real problem with buying cars i like to sell and never doing the...

Anything to do with the user name? One of my fave cars growing up. I got all nostalgic and had to have it lol. If the decals were a little higher quality I woulda considered it but they were too big and a thin die cut cut vinyl. Its either gonna stay that way or I'll try and score later model...

Love e30s man. Me and my bud used to cruise around in his all the time when we were younger. He had the pre face lift model and we did the bumper tuck on a wall lol. Is the e30 stock? I finished assembly on the stand. Got the intake torqued down, dropped the distributor in, got my oil pressure sender and fuel pressure safety switch teed in. Welcome aboard. Thats a real sweet looking truck. I had a real stiff pedal when I changed the kickdown cable on the transmission because it wasnt adjusted correctly. Has the pedal always been stiff? Does it shift ok?
