    Reverse Light Switch wont engage

This isnt for a Square but knowing GM i'm willing to bet the columns are similar if not the same. Its for the fire company's 1977 P30 Step Van The neutral safety switch / reverse light switch doesnt engage when its bolted down. Below is the picture of the switch (which is brand new and...

    Shipping costs?

Fastenal offers LTL service. You need to have the seller put in on a pallet and deliver to the closest Fastenal, then you pick up at your closest Fastenal. I got a tiller shipped to me for pretty cheap, forgot how much I paid but I was happy and it was much cheaper than driving my ass over to...

New guy from North East PA

Welcome from Bangor PA. Nice looking truck. This time of year sucks for working on your vehicles if you dont have a garage with the daylight being gone so early and the ground being mush.

    87 R-10 No start issue

I cant be much help with a diagram but check your grounds. I had a truck that had a finicky battery to chassis ground and it would cause a crank and no start condition.

Help with a small coolant leak

Change in ownership, maybe change in landlord. I've seen shops do funny things when a new landlord takes over the building. I think at this point in time its cheaper to replace unless its a rare unit or a stamped piece from a numbers matching resto. The amount of shops fixing radiators is...

Help with a small coolant leak

No problem. I dont think you would have any problem with an oversized radiator except for maybe longer warmup times in the winter and slightly lower temps on open flat road. And as Snoots mentioned, and open thermostat would cause that before an oversized radiator would. Glad you found the...

Help with a small coolant leak

Just personal preference. They have cheaper ones made by aftermarket companies and I want an OEM radiator. Its also huge, they are about 3 feet tall lol And to clarify I meant my Cummins truck not my Burb.

Help with a small coolant leak

I just recently went through something similar with my Ram. Turns out I had a pinhole leak in the radiator core. I'm talking about tiny. I drive 130 miles a day and it would take a week to lose enough coolant from the overflow to notice. If you are losing coolant externally theres a hole...

    Horn button on 1991 suburban

Different style, but same concept. The center section pops out. Sitting in at the drivers seat pull the horn button towards you. A small plastic pry tool may help. Its held in place by spring clips, not sure if they are plastic or metal on your steering wheel. On the wheel posted earlier they...

    single din radio install

I browsed on Sonic Electronix for a head unit when I was in the market. Sometimes they show last years models then you can go on ebay and find a refurb or used one of the unit you like for a fraction of the cost. Thats how I scored my kenwood cheap (forgot how much but was about $75-90)

Syphon / drain gas out of tank

Dont have much to add that wasnt already covered except if you're gonna use your mouth have some Listerine or better yet whisky on the side. Gas tastes rough man. I'm sure 3 year old gas tastes even worse.

The high beam switch is the dimmer switch. Do you need to replace the turn signal lever? If thats the case then you can swap that out without touching the plastics using a fishing wire or something similar. Heres a good video on how to:
