    Door locks...

Welcome. How are you planning to go about this? Used power doors and oem harness? Used power doors and custom harness? Existing manual doors and custom harness? Existing manual doors and OEM harness? (not sure if this one is even an option.

    Constant hot wire

You can do as bucket mentioned or you can test (or look for) the yellow wire behind the radio. Supposed to be the 12v constant. If you run right to the battery use a fuse.

    Harbor Freight Flashlights/Batteries

Years ago I bought a harbor freight "dremel" tool. I've gotten crap in my eye before working under cars and it hurts so I'm almost always wearing eye protection now and thankfully something told me to use with this thing because the little cutoff disc shattered on touching this hard plastic I...

    Days of My Youth

Awesome stuff man, thanks for sharing! Looks like you got to hold on the best one for the longest and now you can keep riding like you always have. That engine hoist is something else! I recently pulled an engine in my yard but used ply wood and my wife to help drag it out. Seeing that picture...

    Harbor Freight Flashlights/Batteries

I tried and tried with no luck. Out a flashlight. I cant see getting the battery pack out without destroying it. Duracell should cover under warranty but I dont want to try that route. Maybe one day when I dont have a lot going on and a surplus of patience I'll give it another go.

I had some duracells go bad inside my maglite. They swole up and I cant get them out. Learned my lesson after that.

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

I might go check it out this weekend. I'm on the fence though, I want to finish my LS Swap on the Burb and get my 79 Trans Am back up and running. Both for summer. And then theres this beast. Round eye crew cab dually...goodness...

    $5,000? YOU WISH !

A rust free 5/4 ton for 5k would probably sell for close to that in the rust belt. I sure as hell wouldnt pay it but I can see it selling.

Fuel filling issues with new pumps

My 99 Trans Am is picky with pumps too. I've found that if I pull it out just a bit it will take. Sometimes I rotate it a few degrees and it will also take but I have to hold the pump till full. Lesser of two evils between holding it and slow fill. YMMV

    New and need horn help

Welcome aboard. Nice truck and its awesome that its now spanning 3 generations in the family. My best suggestion would be to buy that kit from a reputable seller with a good return policy and send it back if it doesnt work. Otherwise, ebay and craigslist for a part out. Good luck.

    Barn doors strap's

Classic fix. That'll hold for quite a while and you'll always be able to source replacements. Did the outside of the door skins bend in from swinging all the way around or are they still plump?

    86-upgrading headlights keep stock look

Hella E-code sealed beam conversion all the way. Plus a relay harness. You wont regret it! LMC sells a conversion as well but its clear glass unlike the stock bulbs which are textured. At first glance the Hellas look stock aside from the H4 designation stamped in the middle.

    Battery post corrosion

I havent had corrosion issues with Walmart batteries. They dont last long enough to cause any problems. Thankfully (I guess unfortunately, too) the warranty process is fast and no questions asked. I tell you what though, once the replacement warranty is up those batteries are going for core.

    Battery post corrosion

X2 on the cables. My Trans Am did this and sometimes wouldnt start. New battery cables got it squared away. I also now use a terminal protector on all my vehicle batteries. No issues since. Just keep in mind though, it is a Dodge and corrosion will always find its way through. :anitoof:

Dont give up, you have too much into this thing and its too cool of a car. If driving a 30 year old car daily was easy there would be a lot more people doing it. Whered you get that fluid from? Heater core swap or oil change?

Looking for a suburban exhaust video clip

I would add either a longer muffler than the turbo's i have on there now or possibly a high flow cat or resonator to tone it down. Its obnoxious when you throttle it. Its a stock motor so you can hear those 100 or so horses really yell lol.

Looking for a suburban exhaust video clip

Hey I just uploaded the only vid I had on my phone. Its much louder in person than what comes out through the video. I have factory manifolds, dual straight pipes, dual summit turbo mufflers. The previous owner set it up that way and I havent changed it yet, but for me its too loud.

    My other toys II

A lot of the G body cars went to enduro and demolition derby. Its a shame because they were the last of an iconic American car styling. They are really appreciating in value. I've owned two Monte Carlo SS's and combined paid about 2000 for running driving not beat up cars. Cant find one now...

    Reverse Light Switch wont engage

Thanks for the diagrams. The tab is not long enough to reach the opening in the column jacket so i think you may be right in that I have the wrong switch. I'll have to look through the parts closet for the old switch but I can almost be certain that its gone. I'll pull it and head to Napa and...
