    Tire Reviews

Most of my daily drivers have been mild performance RWD coupes and the following tires have been on there: BFG G force Sport Comp 2 - Best overall, by far. Best tread wear, best compromise between dry and wet performance. I even ran these in the winter with no problem (besides the whole HP to...

Advice on rims and tires needed

I saw the load rating on those are ok, but just keep an eye out on those cheap tires. Some are rated very low and only to 50psi. When I bought my truck it had some chinese knock off tires with that same or very similar tread pattern without siping. I suspect they are popped with different brand...

I'm sure other brands carry it but this I would suggest a reputable company like 3m. And yes, they have tons of different colors, including a brushed aluminum thats pretty close to what the factory bezel looks like. They even have camo if you want to hide your gauges in plain site...

I used 3M Brushed titanium to do a double din install on my old 03 Ram. Held up real well to interior heat and sun, I did have 20% tint though. You will also need access to the rear side of that silver facing. If it comes off you're golden, if not then the corners may peel up after a while. I...

Thoughts on Buying a Cheap 2nd Gen Camaro?

I'm going to second the A pillar rust as being a turn off but lets take your goals for the car into account. If you want a pristine restoration then step away. If you want a toy that you dont mind slapping some bondo a maaco paint job on then buy it. A quick power wash will help the look, you...

    2000 camaro ss

Man I'm glad you didnt go through with the swap. Like you found out the TB is different, plus the drive by cable and drive by wire difference. You would also need LS2 fuel rails. That intake looks repairable to me. I'd buy a gasket to place in there, tap the aluminum down a bit then build up...

So I think I screwed up major, but not really

This may be an unpopular opinion but some 18-20" steels with dog dish caps would look sweet.

So I think I screwed up major, but not really

Once you fix everything in the 30 year old vehicle its no longer a 30 year old vehicle in my book. The only issue I see is how the dings and abuse of daily use will wear on you after you fix it up. Also, think about agreed value insurance that what if there is a loss to the vehicle, insurance...

    Help with wipers

You can bypass the delay module by unplugging the connectors on the module on both sides then plugging the connectors together. The wipers should work fine, minus the delay function.

Thoughts on Buying a Cheap 2nd Gen Camaro?

I've been obsessed with Trans Ams since I can remember. Hell I watched Rockford Files just because of the brown Firebird. Never owned a Hurst ttop car either. Come to think of it, I think all of the 2nd gens I've owned have been hard top. Gonna have to change that once my 79 is in better shape...

    Stereo wiring problem

If you want to start fresh use american international GWH341 or equivalent to recreate the factory plug. If you are going to use an OEM radio then the GWH341 will plug into the radio. If you are going to use an aftermarket radio then you will also need GWH342 or equivalent to mate to the...

What is your daily if not square body?

2012 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI for my 130 daily round trip. 1 fill up a week, sometimes 2, about 37 mpg, and I dont have to pay to feed my Cummins. My Burb is a toy along with my Trans Ams. They will never see daily use.

    Two fuel issues

I havent done it myself but everything I've been reading about Qjets is that they are pretty straight forward to rebuild. I would try a $20-30 rebuild kit before spending money on a new one. Gonna be pulling the qjet on my Trans Am soon for a rebuild and I hope I'm not forced to eat my words.

Just making sure I didnt sell you a motor that grenaded. I sold a 350 out of my basement a few years ago but my house is built like a bank barn so I can drive right up to my basement door. Its all good man. You didnt buy from a guy who had it in his ground level basement in a Ford truck, did ya? Dunno if its worth more to collector of that stuff or someone who needs to repair their setup. I see full setups with the plow blade going for 400-500. I've never seen one with round...

Thoughts on Buying a Cheap 2nd Gen Camaro?

When I was about your age I bought a running driving non rusty 1979 Trans Am with a 301 for $1500. This about 15 years ago now. That same $1500 today will get you a roller, a basket case, or something that will require a tetanus booster before working on it. Being that's a T-top car and that...

Just curious how you wired the lights. Toggle switch directly to battery and light? Pulling from a fuse as a signal to the lights? Did you use a fuse and relay? What kind of fog lights? Can you be more specific? Just double check your wiring where it goes through the firewall and check any...
