52in to 56in spring swap
If I remember correctly, that's all you need to do. Swap them side to side so they're angled back for the 56's. Angled forward for the 52's. I can't remember if it's the same idea with the stock shackle hangers or if they're physically moved back on the frame.- theblindchicken

Just to correct any confusion, I haven't tested the full flex numbers of the shackle flip yet. The 20-22" travel numbers was for the cantilever I'm trying to come up with. I went with ORD's 4" shackle flip with their stock length HD shackles and all new greaseable poly bushings and bolts in the entire rear end. Welp... walked out to the truck and guess no access panel. Coulda swore there was, must've been my buddies yota that i was thinking of. Gotta be them barrel clips then. Probably just pop those in and push the emblem into place.- theblindchicken

We had to pull off the inner panel to access the bolts to the tailgate band. I'd assume its the same for that emblem.- theblindchicken

Maybe its a difference in the years? My 74 has speed nuts for the cab trim, grille emblem, and the tailgate band emblem. No barrel nuts to be seen.- theblindchicken

Didnt realize you were in that deep of snow. Was thinking more like 12-18" so that a narrow tire would help you get down into the dirt a bit more. I dont know much about sled pulling, but sounds like your tires are digging a little hole then pulling themselves out when they find something a little more compact. I've always heard that you want narrower tires for snow and mud so it digs into the solid stuff below instead of riding on the...- theblindchicken

Sad to say it looks like it was done by a first timer. I'd be very disappointed with that the work was done. I'd continue with the project, while finding a better shop to do the panels in the meantime. If the panels fit well, but just shoddy welds, then i'd grind it down and have them redone...- theblindchicken
