    67 Chevelle ls conversion

Mine too. I love black but don’t have the patience to keep a black car clean. Dark Cherry isn’t much better but I was sold on it when I saw it. Owned this one since new, 207,000 miles and still gets comments in parking lots and gas stations.

I have another project I have to wrap up before I get too deep into the Chevelle. My 95 Impala SS is on jack stands getting all new brakes and braided lines along with a front suspension update. Brakes are done except for bleeding the lines.

A few shots to show her resting place. A good thing that sheet metal is readily available! Not as bad as it looks and the other side is pristine. Still a lot of work ahead but I look forward to it.

If not for photobucket, there would be plenty! Don’t have any on my iPad right now but they will appear here first. My garage is so full that I can’t get a good angle on it. It’s been wedged into the same corner for 20 years and I’m going to have to move a bunch of stuff just to get it where I...

    The swap started today.....

Curious as to what motor mounts you used? Are all the front end drive accessories going to clear everything?

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

In this case “soon” is a relative term. The car has been sitting in the same spot for 20years. So if I can get it road worthy in the next two years I will feel successful. I’m planning on a complete suspension revamp, possibly a 9” rear, conversion to 4 wheel discs along with a good deal of body...

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

Well more parts are starting to roll in. It seems that Holley has the most complete line of swap parts for cars and trucks and specifically for the A body Chevelle. I ordered the 302-2 oil pan which has proven to be a perfect fit for clearance in the Chevelle frame. They have a new pan out that...

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

Talk about last minute ideas, I went to pick up the engine without any straps! Seller let me have the one strap I used to get it 90 miles down the road. Reason for the hitch under the pan was to keep the engine from “nosing over” onto the crank pulley. The next 150 miles to my garage it will be...

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

I’m going to pick up a Corvette 5.7 ls1 tomorrow. It does not have any of the front end accessory drive with it. Any of you have any experience with this swap and what would be the best drive system to go with? It’s in the early planning stage now but I think I will be using Holley/Hooker for...

    Taking the plunge! 1985 C10 long bed L96 6.0 6L90e swap

Jealous, I have a 85 long bed too that really needs the 305 replaced!

my new (first) vette, or my wifes? LOL

Be sure to verify the condition of the entire cowl area. Some C3’s have been junked due to significant rust of the cowl. Only mention this because of the rust you found around the windshield. I’ve never owned a C3 but expect a lot of expensive parts especially if they are Corvette specific. I’ve...

Kool Dodge. My grandad had a 1 1/2 ton of the same year. It was fitted with a grain bed and seldom out of the barn. Sold with the farm in 1978.

I missed your question until now. They made a base model with a V6 and the S model with a 400 hp V8 and a GTS with a Turbo V8, very expensive even used.

He and his wife are both professionals but he is quite savy with money. He's selling the Silverado to offset some of the cost and like a lot of other high price rigs the Cayenne values drop dramatically the first few years.

Raised a gearhead My son is expecting twin boys to arrive in March of 2016 so he needed a "family vehicle" for the car seats. Now he already has a 2014 370 Z that spends most of it's time in the garage and a 05 SWB Silverado for a daily driver so neither of those would do. So dad flew down to...

    The daily 93 lesabre

I was surprised at the smoothness and power of the turbo in a vehicle the size and weight of the Regal. Handling is excellent for its class too. Don't know why the pic of moms old car is upside down ??? Anyway, its strange but I like driving the 94 occasionally. None of my other vehicles can...
