Concrete, hummmm, I’ll keep that in mind. I have come to the conclusion that these newer cars are designed to sacrifice themselves to protect the occupants. This was a very low speed collision, the air bags did not inflate but yet the whole front end is pushed over to one side and rearward...- f6john

You’re right, we’ll have to watch out for that. I was pretty bummed out about the whole situation and then I see a news report showing the pictures of all the lives cut short in the Florida school shooting and all my worries are just pale in comparison to losing a child in such a senseless way...- f6john

2 hours ago this car was virtually like new. Wife is fine, airbags didn’t even deploy. Drove the car home but the drivers door is just barely rubbing on the back edge of the fender. I can only imagine what the estimate will be as this car has a lot of sensors in the grill, emergency stopping...- f6john

Today is the first time in 2 months that two things have lined up. The weather was great and I was home too. Garage is a mess and I tried to make a dent in it today with some success. I also dragged out the mowers, and 4 wheeler and made sure they would all start which they did.- f6john

I’m wondering if you could do a bumper tuck ala Chip Foose style? I know the bumpers are bolted to those shock absorbing thingies but a talented guy like yourself should be able to whip up some new mounts and give the car a unique look.- f6john

How to Weld
I’m jealous. I bought a Hobart mig years ago but I hav never learned how to use it. I doubt it’s even set up properly. I need a teacher/mentor but I’m getting pretty old to just be starting to learn. -

Heads up was a option on the C5 Corvettes for the first time in 99 and was quite popular. Mine is equipped with it too. All the heads up equipped cars came with a special windshield for improved visibility in all conditions and even more expensive to replace. I wonder if that was a consideration...- f6john

Vette is a 99 so not a Z06 but it is the first year for the fixed roof or “hardtop” . Z06 not available until 2001.
