Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

And therein lies my problem, I know several shops that have there own mixing equipment but the quality of the painters is still a mystery to me. I’ll have to do some homework on that one.

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

Concrete, hummmm, I’ll keep that in mind. I have come to the conclusion that these newer cars are designed to sacrifice themselves to protect the occupants. This was a very low speed collision, the air bags did not inflate but yet the whole front end is pushed over to one side and rearward...

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

You’re right, we’ll have to watch out for that. I was pretty bummed out about the whole situation and then I see a news report showing the pictures of all the lives cut short in the Florida school shooting and all my worries are just pale in comparison to losing a child in such a senseless way...

Well crap! Wife in a Car Accident.

2 hours ago this car was virtually like new. Wife is fine, airbags didn’t even deploy. Drove the car home but the drivers door is just barely rubbing on the back edge of the fender. I can only imagine what the estimate will be as this car has a lot of sensors in the grill, emergency stopping...

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

It could be, I understand the new lt1 uses the same or similar setup. I have no knowledge of the 2.8 etc pumps.

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

Today is the first time in 2 months that two things have lined up. The weather was great and I was home too. Garage is a mess and I tried to make a dent in it today with some success. I also dragged out the mowers, and 4 wheeler and made sure they would all start which they did.

    I've been unfaithful...

Nissan has been my daily driver for the past 12 years and has been ultra reliable. Still looks ok for 156,000 miles,

Could be worse, you aren’t driving a Ford!

    My other pride and joy.

I’ve seen 140 mph on the hud in the C5 in 4th gear. Of course it was strapped to a dyno at the time.

    My other pride and joy.

Don’t remind me of the scrap prices. When they were through the roof, meth heads were stealing anything not nailed down. I lost a perfect Chevelle dash, 9” rear end, set of 340 heads, set of 67 Chevelle bucket seats, front and rear bumpers and brackets for my Chevelle, and the list goes on. I...

    ‘89 Caprice Mini Thread

I’m wondering if you could do a bumper tuck ala Chip Foose style? I know the bumpers are bolted to those shock absorbing thingies but a talented guy like yourself should be able to whip up some new mounts and give the car a unique look.

The Wife's Ride! A Ford, groan, but a Kool One!

I love the early Mustangs. A buddy of mine in high school had one with a 289 and a 3 speed manual. I used to go to out of town ball games with him on occasion. I am particularly fond of the 2+2 models especially if it’s a GT model. I dont have any designs on owning one now as they are getting...

    My other pride and joy.

No good ones, car has been sitting in the same spot in my garage since my son drove it into a ditch 20 years ago. It’s not as bad as it looks but it’s bad enough as I had spent several years and dollars getting it to a pretty good stage. Passenger side is fine, no frame damage but this time I’m...

    How to Weld

I’m jealous. I bought a Hobart mig years ago but I hav never learned how to use it. I doubt it’s even set up properly. I need a teacher/mentor but I’m getting pretty old to just be starting to learn.

You were a lucky kid, I love the 66 SS, I’m ls swapping a 67 now. I thought I had won the lottery when as a junior in high school my Dad bought his first new car, a 69 Dodge Charger. Oh, and the Cayenne is my sons daily, not mine but it is a nice ride.

They’re both gearheads already. Their Dad has a 370Z and a Porsche Cayenne and they love to be in the garage.

Heads up was a option on the C5 Corvettes for the first time in 99 and was quite popular. Mine is equipped with it too. All the heads up equipped cars came with a special windshield for improved visibility in all conditions and even more expensive to replace. I wonder if that was a consideration...

    My other pride and joy.

Vette is a 99 so not a Z06 but it is the first year for the fixed roof or “hardtop” . Z06 not available until 2001. Of course I have done a few Z06 upgrades, wheels (currently stored) Z06 mod red interior and red coil covers. This is a pic of my twin grandsons inspecting the interior for the...

    My other pride and joy.

You very well may have found a diamond in the rough being it is as complete and unmolested as it is. I’ll have to admit that if I had seen it, I probably just would have driven right on by. Good score.

Kool car. I’m sure I have seen that model before but never investigated what they were all about. The rear buckets and and console would put it in the rare category.

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

I have come to the conclusion it’s all expensive. Somebody in their right mind and totally rational would not even consider doing something like this. Of course if you saw some recent auction prices for Chevelle’s you might think it’s a great investment. I don’t expect to recover any money on...

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

Well I’ve been gone from home more than I have been there and have had a head cold for almost 2 weeks so no garage time. Have been thinking about all I need to do and the priority of each. I did pull a pic off the internet that shows all the parts that came with the kit I bought for the ls1 Ian...

I thought about it too, especially if I were looking to up the hp a significant amount. Lot of people poo poo the lt1 in these cars because of the opti-spark but I have had reasonably good luck. Most problematic part has been the water pumps, I have replaced 3 in 207k miles. Replaced the opti in...

    67 Chevelle ls conversion

Since this is a square body forum I thought I should add a pic of my 85 that I hope will benefit from my Chevelle build in the future. I assembled the .030 over 350 in my car now and it doesn’t have 3000 miles on it but I was getting some blow by out the valve cover breather so I’m guessing I...
