Help !! What lift do I need

What you are going to do with your blazer ? Street truck or off road ? If it's street mainly you can get away with less lift with big rubber , off road not the case. Your 12 inch wide wheels hang the tire's out a lot more than say an 8 inch wheel , which leads to fender cutting with a lower...

    Accelerator Cable Replacement

I have no idea about the blue thing , is that the one you got from lmc ? and is it the same length as your stock one ? The reason why I ask is most reproduction cable's are longer than stock and I am looking for a stock length one so you dont have a loop in it , thanks.

    Drag link limiting droop

I have never tried those end's but I do know you want the drag link flat with the ground. I would get the raised arm and see if you could get it flat with or with out the drop pitman arm.

    Wheel hop

For sure check everything like kacy said , but if you are hooking up better you are wrapping your springs up and your pinion is trying to come up to far if nothing is messed up just get some shims to put your pinion angle down a bit and you should be all good. I have played with pinion angle's...

    Camshaft discussion

Wow this thread is starting to sound like the varsity cheerleading team locker room , ( everyone's vagina is starting to hurt). The real deal is flat tappet cams are a great way to go on a budget and last many miles with the right break in and oil , (as we all know). If your flat tappet cam is...

If you are a low compression small block you might want to look at the crane 10017 , same spec's as what you are looking at but with a 106 lode sep. The one you are looking at is 105+115=220 then divided by 2 makes that cam a 110 lode sep. The 106 on the crane cam at the same spec's makes more...

    454 Headers

I only mess with the older stuff so I dont know about the hyd. clutch stuff but I have done a ton of hog block swap's and the only header's I like are doug thorley tri y's. I took a chance and ran heddman elite's on my blazer, (smallblock) and they are really good but the fitment of the tri y's...

6" Skyjacker Lift with 35" tires? Fitment Good?

No offense taken at all , I am sarcastic sometimes , everybody has their own opinion on parts , no big deal. I just wanted to let the op know what I have done many times playing with big lift square's over the year's , (6" and up). Yes flatter springs are easier to work with but I never like...

6" Skyjacker Lift with 35" tires? Fitment Good?

To the OP , everybody is entitled to their opinion , but ride like shit and dangerous is just not true. Since you are building a street truck only it's all about how much you want to spend and what look you are going after , (4"with 33's) cheap with very few mods , (8"with 37's) not cheap and a...

    350 to 454 advice/help?

I have dropped many 454's in my small block , 70's , square's , bolt right in and go. I do put 4 row radiators in them if they dont already have one and exhaust change as well. Welcome.

Steering issues after 4 inch lift

Welcome , and yes you need to adjust the drag link until you are equal both way's. I am not a fan of the drop , (s shaped) drag link's. The stock drag you can adjust without removal. You can use a stock drag with a steering arm on the axle. With that being said, I think the aftermarket drag's...

    Cylinder Head Decision?

4wdkc is spot on ^^^^^^ I will give you my 2 cent's , (my last 383 in my k-10), big block guy now. Scat crank and rods , 22cc d-dish pistons , 0 deck , .041 head gaskets , afr 180 heads , comp 268h cam , with all the other bolt on's , quench motor. Simply bad ass pump gas small block for a...

Snow wheeling. Now I want to re-configure...

My 2 cents, I do a ton of snow wheeling , (deep stuff) , and my buddies that have jeeps do very well because they are so light and us square body freaks are not. With that being said I went for big wide rubber on wide wheels and that did the trick. As far as tires go I run the 38x15.50 dick...

    Leaking intake manifold.

I only use permatex right stuff on the china walls of any chevy . Its the best silicone on the market as well as the strongest. The only down fall is if you have to remove it , it's a bitch. Its my go to for everything

Tired of the screaming small block!

Thanks , and yes on the last three , my heads are , (two sets) , #3964290. My crew cab heads have major porting and bigger valve's and a bigger cam , better valve terrain as to run out a bit better , also port matched intake.

Tired of the screaming small block!

My 2 cents eric , I would look for , 063 , 215 , 290 , early , closed chamber big oval heads. I have put together three 454's for my trucks with flat tops and these heads and this combo makes for a torque monster , (you have to put hardened seats in them). I always went for the flat top small...

    Dana 3/4 vs 1 ton?

One more thing about semi float vs. full float , the pinion in a full float rides on three bearings , (two in front and one in back) , and semi has only two , (both in front). Full float blows semi out of the water in all ways.

    Headers

Long tubes , best performance , look cool , sound cool , and are just super cool !!!!!!!! New to hedman elite's , so far so good , have many doug thorley header's and they are great.
