Any headers that fit perfectly on 84 K10?

I am using a stock fuel pump with a pressure regulator and a howards cams billet fuel pump push rod, (# 94475). The brackets and wire holder's all all from summit racing. I don't have a kick down cable because I have a turbo 400 transmission. As far as tuning this engine like a lot of initial...

    Less problematic?

I am into holley carbs but I will say that they are not the best out of the box, They really need to be messed with to get them dialed in. I am working on a brawler 650cfm double pumper on my blazer right now trying to get it perfect That being said I think all carbs need to be tuned some out...

    Best Carbs for Cammed 350

What intake do you have now? What are your cam spec's? What is your compression? I have used the spread bore holley's in the past, (0-6210), and they have worked very well for me but they don't have a lot of adjustability like the new holley style carbs. like quick fuel, brawler, holley hp...

    Wheel spacers

I have not had spacer's on any of my square's but I do on my duramax, 1.5 inch, aluminum , in the rear. Been on there for year's and I rock a 2,500 lbs cab over camper all the time. I looked at a lot of spacer's and some are thicker than other's so I went with the thickest and the most expensive.

Another cam thread... But maybe not the usual.

The 034 heads are really good heads, I had them on a 383 I put together moons back for my 72 camaro. If memory serve's those are 64cc with 202 valve's

    SBC valve lash?

I had a comp solid cam (282s) in my big block 68 camaro and I always set it (twice a year) at .022, hot with a feeler gauge, no problems ever with iron block and heads. If you are doing the lash cold ,(with iron heads) I would add a bit , so I would go .024 to .025. I never really did mine cold...

Any headers that fit perfectly on 84 K10?

Yes, for one I am not a fan of 670cfm holley avenger style carbs and they have center hung floats which are not good for off road. The carb. you see is a quick fuel 600cfm off road carb. , side hung floats with the vent tubes connected and sring loaded needle and seats, single feed. This quick...

Any headers that fit perfectly on 84 K10?

Also for the o.p. I have the hedman elite headers on that k5 and they fit perfect with no mods, but I do run the shorty plugs.

Any headers that fit perfectly on 84 K10?

I just put the gm sp350/357 in my k5, still tuning on it but it has a little cam sound to it and pulls pretty dam hard. Not a race engine but does well for a daily driver and has enough pull to get with it.

You could use them for sure, I was just thinking you were after the best you could do mileage and torque wise.

Another cam thread... But maybe not the usual.

If it was me and I was thinking about the best economy I would stay with your d-dish pistons and for sure go with vortec heads. Vortec's are a more efficient chamber design which will give you a more complete burn in the combustion chamber which also allows you to run more compression as well...

Ported or manifold vacuum for vacuum advance

I really do like the electronic , cellphone set up that, (dsteelejr) is running, that would be the cat's meow. That being said I would so do that but for my k5, I am always out in the deep desert, (100 miles from anything) and I am old school so I dont want any electronics that can fail going...

Ported or manifold vacuum for vacuum advance

When you have any type of sizeable cam with more overlap they need more initial timing to idle well and to get your carb. idle set up right, but you can only go so far with the initial, (mechanical advance), or your starter will hate you. So you put your vacuum can to manifold so you get the...

    New skin's for the duramax

I got tired of the look with 20 inch wheels, (like every other newer truck today), so I went back to 16's. Super hard to find but these are 16x12 mickey thompson wheels and 35 inch mickey thompson mtz's Changed the look of my 2006 duramax big time.

What have you done to your square lately??

Messing with some of my carburetor's for my 77, k5. The one on the left is a holley 1850 with a rear metering block conversion, the one on the right is a quick fuel off road 600 with the rear metering block conversion as well, (this 600 is no longer made). Right now I have a brawler, 650 double...

Ported or manifold vacuum for vacuum advance

All my cars and trucks, stock or modified over the year's I have always re-curved the distributor for faster advance and moved the vacuum advance to full manifold vacuum and they always seemed to me to pull a little harder and have a better idle. My engine guy that I have known since I was 17...

    Lunati street master

Mike b said it right at least 9.5 to 1, that being said I see there is two versions of that cam. #301a7 which has a 114 lsa #10120316 which has a 110 lsa, hope you got this one. I will add that my 9 to 1 vortec engine has a 215 @ .050 intake duration 223 @ .050 exhaust duration .473/.473...

What have you done to your square lately??

Well I had skyjacker hydro's on it before these bilsteins and I will say the cheap hydro's actually ride a tick softer on the street, but when you go into a large whoop or a pot hole the hydro's always have that after bounce a couple of times and the bilstein's have none of that. Also I like to...

    383 vortec high compression

You have to measure the stack like I said earlier, if you run that .038 head gasket and your piston is .025 down in the block thats a quench of .063, (no good). If your piston is down .015 in the block then you are at .053 quench, (still no good). Do the math of your stack. If your piston is...

    383 vortec high compression

I will throw this in for you, I just put this engine in my 1977 blazer. It's a nice little 350 with vortec heads 9.5 to one compression with a 215/223 @ .050 , .473/.473 lift, 108 lsa , hydraulic roller cam. It's 357 hp , 410 tq and it pulls my blazer, (on 38 inch rubber), around really well...
