Rear brake bleeding struggles
We did do this. The rear left bled fine. The rear right did not. It seems like the line or the caliper is blocking any fluid from coming out. I guess I should pull the line out of the caliper and see if the fluid can get that far.- Chris64

That would explain the vacuum failure. If it was seized, wouldn't brake fluid still come out of the bleed screw? Bleeding brakes is something I've failed at with motorcycles/quads/mountain bikes and now trucks :D. The nice thing with this truck is I really don't even have to remove the tire to...- Chris64

74 k20. I'm new to these things aside from dirt bikes and quads. I don't know if the rear brakes were working before but the pedal was mushy. I bled the front brakes fine (ish). I'm a little embarrassed to say what I paid after reading what you guys paid. A running 1975 or older (no smog) k-20 in So-cal is a rare thing these days. Rear body mounts for a 74 k20
OK - well I got impatient and went ahead and just did the rear. I was able to wiggle them out with about a 1.5" lift on the cab. New rear mounts are in. It's looking more level. I should've loosened the front mounts. I'm dreading this a little...here goes. I'll try a breaker bar on this one.- Chris64

What could this random tube attached to the exhaust be?
Surely someone can explain this mystery tube to me. It's hose clamped to the exhaust for some reason. It's not drilled out or anything if you look down the tube. It's just clamped to it and barely hanging on. Chesterton's-random-exhaust-tube. It's better to figure out why it's there before...- Chris64

74 Adjusting tailgate latches
The tailgate will not close unless I pull the handle while slamming. I went to figure out how to adjust this and I don't see any way to do that. I could add some shims near the rubber grommet possibly. Does anyone know how these are adjusted?- Chris64

'77 Vandura radio not working
This sounds backwards to me. Yellow to the battery and red to the key (accessory). Old Pioneers had weird colors IIRC there was an orange (which is normally used for illumination) that was the constant. After watching this: I feel inspired to try and repair the foam I have. Everything that was covered and protected feels fresh, just the areas exposed to sunlight are flaky and brittle. I like the idea of stock foam and saving $300 and two weeks for delivery. Time to shop for some foam scraps... -

Found the problem. The spring meant to return the main latch was broken. It's all riveted together. I could probably drill it out and machine some replacement parts but locating that spring by itself sounds like a pain when the whole mechanism can be acquired for $65. Hopefully it's comparable... -

I finally got my hands on a squarebody!
Hello All! I've always loved the Squarebody and on Saturday took delivery of a semi-running k20. It's a 1974 which is perfect for me being in CA (No smog!).
