Been using an extension but when it's 18 to 20 degrees and your on cold cement and your fingers are numb it's really no fun and I don't have a transmission shop around my town.- TheBigBlue2500

That's what I thought, and as alic20 said dipstick and all that jazz. Wish there was an easier way to replace the flywheel but it is what it is.- TheBigBlue2500

How many bolts hold the transmission on and where?
Having to change out the flywheel and obviously you have to slide the transmission back but I am unsure of how many bolts are holding it on and how many in TOTAL I need to be looking for. So far I think there are at least 6 on the front of the transmission for sure, 2 left, 2 right, and 2...- TheBigBlue2500

New stater not catching
Just switched out my old starter and my new will not catch. I've had this issue before with my last square, a 81 k10 with the aftermarket starters not catching the flywheel. I did install the braket and it's on nice and snug however it will not catch. Should I go get a different starter or is a...- TheBigBlue2500

Anyone else have this "Turbo Diesel" plaque?
Would you happen to know what company would have included that plaque? It's a Detroit and as far as I know there was Banks and ATS for turbo options. Truth be told I still can't find were my turbo is but you can hear it loud and clear!- TheBigBlue2500
